Aquatic Invaders in the Marketplace (Take AIM) was developed by Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant and Illinois Natural History Survey to offer resources to water gardeners, aquarists, retailers, anglers, teachers, and wholesalers to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. CLICK HERE to learn how invasions happen, how to identify invasive species, and how to choose non-invaders for your garden or aquarium.

If you are no longer able to care for your pets or plants, Take AIM offers alternatives to release via their Indiana rehoming network.

For help caring for or rehoming turtles and tortoises, please visit Chelonian Ranch. The ranch specializes in rescuing, rehabilitating, and fostering turtles and tortoises but they are able to accept most other reptiles and amphibians – please contact for details and availability.
